Who we are
The East Midlands Directorate of Public Health and Social Care supports the Department of Health through delivery of national policy and the aims and outcomes of Healthy lives Healthy Places.
Our focus is to:

Raise awareness of the High Impact Changes for obesity and facilitating the sharing of good practice.

Continue to support the sustainability of the East Midlands Platform on food, physical activity and health.

Support PCT obesity leads by facilitating the exchange of information with the DH policy team, and maintaining the regional network.

Contribute to workforce development.

Promote evidence-based best practice in infant nutrition, including breast feeding.
